my car is overheating when i sit with the car at normal operating temp. i got stuck in traffic ad i did not here my fans kick on. i checked my upper coolent line aqnd it was hot, according to haynes this means that the coolent is flowing ant the over temp is not a thermostat prob but im changing it out any way. what do you guys think my prob is? the fan or the relay fuze? im ripping out my ac compressor on monday so im gona try and figure it out by then.

Check your fans to make sure they're spinning freely. About a year ago I had the same problem. I was sitting in a parking lot taking pictures of her when I got into the car to move her and noticed the temp was really rising. After letting it cool for awhile I drove home which was about a mile away and check it out, I found that my fan was broken around the bolt that holds it to the motor. When it was getting hot the motor would kick on but it wouldn't spin anything since the plastic fan was snapped around the motor. If your fan is okay check the relay, check your temp sensor to make sure it's pluged in all the way and like you said your T-Stat to make sure it's opening. Make sure your car is off when sticking your hand down there ;-)
