I did. Thanks alot!

Actually now that I've been thinking about this ECU swap thing, we've established that a 5-speed ECU won't work with an automatic car. Will the automatic ECU work with a manual?

i would think so, but you might get a code.

a friend of ours, cliff sebring, had a ef/sa sundance with the 3.0 and the 3 speed auto. he tried every little thing to make it quicker without cracking open the engine. including using a manual trans ecu, it worked, but it didnt help.

i know those computers were a little different and the trans was completely hydraulic so that is why a 5 speed ecu worked with the auto. but in this case i dont see why you couldnt put a auto ecu in a 5 speed car.

The newer ATX's are electronically controlled. So if you use a newer ATX pcm in a MTX car you will get a check engine light for no transmission signal found.
My lil brother did a MTX swap into his 96 stratus and he had to find a MTX pcm to control his 2.4. The check engine light was on for no transmission signal......he eventually found a MTX pcm to control his stratus, go figure its from a 2.0 DOHC neon

From what I have heard this will not work. The NGC equipped cars have a different crank posistion sensor wheel. So the earlier model ECU's will not be able to properly interpret the signal.

Long story short, KEVO wont be on here anymore but he is in contact with me
And we are in discussion about the PCM's in our cars
