yeah, it varies by state. sure the car looks cleaner without the front plate, but it gives the cops a reason to pull you over, or add to a ticket he/she is about to give you.

correct, 2 plates means 2 plates. most states require two i think, but i live in CA and only run the rear. cop might tell u to put it on give u a fix it ticket, but either way its not a huge deal. say your bracket is broken or u lost the screws or something. fuck front plates!

All you have to do is do a little research online. Find your states DMV site. :)

We just told you the answer....if you have forgotten already....yes you need a front plate in wisconsin. Why would the dmv issue you two plates if you only needed one?

This isn't rocket science, keep it on and tell your friends that they are retards and that you no longer want to play with them

Ok, maybe this will help you a bit. I know it helps my Neon alot. Paint your tag holder to match your Neon. It will look much better. :)

^he wanted to know if front plates are required in Wisconsin....

if youre worried about it PUT IT ON, and just take it off for pics and whatnot. I live in the strictest state in the US and ive run w/o one since i bought the car a year ago. its risky but honestly not a big deal. theres so many modded cars in CA, its normal not to have a front plate, no one wants to.

that does look really good greg.

unfortunatly on 03 - 05 neons the bracket sticks up a little to were i dont think it would be anywhere near as nice as the way you have it.

I ran my eclipse without a front licence plate for a year in Cali, and was never bothered. It does give a cop an excuse to pull you over if they'd like though, so do whatever you feel is right.

My step father, (cop), told me it would be in my best interest, to keep it on on my neon. Whenever he see's a suspicious or modded car, that isnt running a front licence plate, he uses it as a excuse to pull them over. It must be on the front of your car, the window does not count, regardless out what people may think.

Thats illegal too. Its defacing the plate and is illegal in all states. So is putting any stickers (other than the required year/month) or any painting on your plates. Heck, in most states even plate covers are illegal. (including MD, but that does not stop me from having a clear cover on my front plate to protect it) You'll get pulled over much quicker with that than not having one at all.

Zip tie, da muhfugga.

It's easier to remove when you want to, but keeps you legal... And looks better than that nasty bracket.

Its not a PS, he attached a terry towel to the back of the plate to prevent it from scratching the bumper, hence why it looks 'shopped 8)

For the SECOND TIME, grambo, this is not a chop. Correct, it is a terry cloth glued to the back of my license plate to keep it from scratching, and I sure hope it's shiny under there. I'm gonna' take it off this weekend when I wash & wax the car, if it's nice enough out... I'll check for scratches then.

As far as wobbling and blowing around, the zip ties are pretty tight and you can't even 'swing' the plate at all with your hands.
