you can get a new set of wirs here. they are accels. ~$40 after shipping and handling.

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch ... 4294907527

you have to pick one of the ones with the part numer ACC-7964X where X is either Y or B which designates color. the ACC-7961X is for 2.0l dohc engines.

figured i would post this for reference

The car seems pretty smooth, we will see after an overnight so it can cool down.

Thanks for the help,

my first & second rule ...

Post by sleepingneon » Thu Jun 08, 2006 7:57 pm

1 Whenever I feel like my cars start to run rough, disconnect the battery for at least 20 minutes. Its pain to reprogram everything, but it has been worth it. Make sure you rev it up some the first few minutes on the road. I feel that this helps get the right setting for the way you drive.

2 use fuel injector cleaner at recommended intervals

you dont need fuel injector cleaner that often, if at all. imo everyone on this forum should have a $20 catch can. there is a how to in the appropriate section.

catch can = never ever needing injector cleaner

no catch can = maybe every once in a while

when i worked at jiffy lube i did a fuel injection cleaning, the whole deal, only because i wanted to clean the oil out of the manifold. havent done it since, been about 15000 miles.

my dad never cleans the injectors, our familys cars have ~95000, ~70000, ~75000, ~30000, ~137000 and none of them have had the injectors clean. the best thing you can do is just drive it. every now an again get it out on the highway.

I wanna do a catch can, but like ive said before, theyre illegal so id have to custom plumb it to look super stock. someday soon, i dont wanna have to worry about the intake suckin in oil and killin my sensor (maybe its already happening who knows!)

Any engine 'modification to a pollution producing device' is pretty much illegal in Cali unless it has a fat CARB sticker stuck on it.
