A/C HELP

when i turn my a/c on it makes a loud noise and jerks the whole car ( prothane motor mounts makes it worse) and then it sounds fine after that, but then it stays cold for about 5 min then it gets warm for about 1 min then back too cold and so on.

sounds like your system needs a recharge with some fresh oil...

same w/ mine...Mine does the same thing. I have just been too cheap w/ getting it recharged. I think that is all mine needs also, you think Id stop being lazy and buy it from work since im there so much

(hense why I have not been on here much at all lately

)

I thought about pulling it out of my car also, but it gets hot here in SC also, too hot to think about doing that

even if its not my daily driver anymore.

If you can live without A/C then Id say remove it. If during the summer you average anywhere from 75+ degree's then I would figure a way to get it to work. If you can tolerate a 85deg day with windows open and a sunroof open and driving over 40mph, then I would still say ditch the A/C.
Last summer here in WNY, we averaged anywhere between 70-85deg days with maxed out humidity, my R/T with just the front windows open and the sunroof open was more than enough for me, I rarely used my A/C.....
