What's your 0-60 times look like?

Post by rmc03 » Wed Feb 07, 2007 11:07 pm

Hey guys, I know this area is for drag racing, just thought this would be the most appropriate place to post it.

I was out playin around with my GTech Pro meter tonight.

I've just got a CAI and straight pipe, stock tires on the car at the moment. (Going to be doing a full swap in the future so no point in building this one up.) Out of 3 launches my best 0-60 was 7.87s w/ 112whp. Considering my friend's 96 Jetta VR6 is right around 7.8s I was pretty happy to see that time.

Just wondering what your 0-60's looked like and if there were any easy ways other than weight reduction to make the times a little better.

Thanks guys - Ryan

Though 0-60mph is used to sell cars... they don't really mean much if you are a drag racer...

Here are the times that matter... 60', 1/8th mile, 1/4th mile, and u'r MPH

my friend has a G-tech.....is off on his 1/8 mile time by .3 from the actual strip time....i wouldnt trust it honestly...u have to enter the exact weight with u in it and gas weight and oil weight and all that jazz has to b persise to get a clear time or whp reading of any kind...witch means go weigh u in ur car on a truck scale lol... i dont trust it ...said i turn 1.02 g's ....thats like wat a dam 911 porshe does dont quote me on that just makeing my point...

I believe a stock sxt is rated at somewhere around 8.5 seconds (read it from a few sources over the years). I doubt minor bolt ons would give u much more than another 0.1 if youre lucky. those gtechs arent too accurate from what ive heard.
