Higher Rear Spring Rates for Racing
Mike Ancas' recommends using higher rear spring rates (300-500lbs) for racing to control understeering in corners in his "High Performance Dodge Neon Builders Handbook". Anyone tried this?

Yes not a fan.
There are a few schools of thought when it comes to springs on FWD cars.
I have tried the huge rear springs/bar it can make the car turn well however I dont like the feel. I prefer to set the car up so that the rear is just along for the ride. I get the front to turn in and stick how I like and then match the rear to rotate however much is appropriate (different for autocross and track day cars)
That said I wouldnt call those rates high. 300lb are very average rates on these cars. 500lb is where I start for a dual purpose car. My car now uses 1000lb fronts with no bar and 650 rears with a 22mm bar
