Hey I found someone selling a nearly mint '01 ACR Cam (magnum engine) and was wondering if I would gain anything by replacing my cam with it???
Anyone have input??
Would I need to put on ACR/RT valvesprings??

'01 magnum cams were the hottest cams ever used in a neon from the factory. Itll be good for some noticable gains.
Remember to change your valve springs to magnum or crane valve springs too.

You will need 16 springs. One for each valve. You wont need any locks or retainers, you can reuse your stock ones.
And yes. the W/ RT ones.

what can you rev to safely with the magnum cam and springs?
what kind of gains can you get over basic (i/h/e) with a crane 12 and mag springs?

The theory is the ACR/RT springs can handle 8k rpm without failure...
