I have been sending e-mails to Mopar as well as Howell so i figure if we flood them with requests for a replacement for us 03+ NGC owners they might do something about it. Wishful thinking but like they say KEEP HOPEALIVE!!!

mopar's involvement in the neon will prolly go no further than ground effects and taillights. it would be real damn nice to see something bypassing the ngc tho. until then i will continue adding torque!

It really wouldnt be that hard for mopar to release a re-flashed performance pcm. hell they could charge $500 each and still sell 100's. They could even just wirte new software and have the dodge dealerships flash it into our existing pcm's and charge us $500.

I'v been told that the release of a performance pcm was restriced due to legal/money issues with emmisions certification.

I say we go to ma' mopar and chain ourself to the doors until we get a MP PCM :)

Or just hire some computer programmer to hack the code. we have some nerds in our IT dept at my casino that probably know how to do all that - I have just not asked em yet. :D

maybe we should start a huge online letter of people saying they would be a reflashed/re....new ECU for the NGC'rs

the only bad thing about having some nerd reflash the pcm is that if we in any way made it public (either for sale or even simply by posting about its existance) there would be a major law suit from our friends at dcx. other than that, id be down for it.

ok stupid question what is ngc?

something we don't have to worry about because our neons don't have it. It stands for next generation computer. It basically robs all 2003+ neons of any power they could potentially gain from modifying their cars. Kinna like this guy:

Yeah, do a search for 'NGC' on here and read up if you're interested. It gets quite interesting and controversial sometimes...

The e-mail add. i have for mopar is questions@choiceinternet.com

No e-mail, petition, or anything else will convince DCX to do anything further for the Neon. NOTHING. Dr. Z hated the car and it is dead to them.

ngc sucks that is why mine was put out of a job. maybe some one should make a kit so it would make it easer too hook up ms? like every thing needed too do a edis setup with good instructions. And have good base map for na and one for turbo aplications.

That would be awesome, and if someone did that, i would switch to MS in a heartbeat if the funds were available.

Just give it time for someone to crack the NGC....
DCx is no longer using that system and its only a matter of time before they sell the coding to someone to create performance controllers for NGC controlled vehicles...

I wish we could get product like honda data. that would be the chit. Something you can pas emmisions with

You mean like AEM?

They released a standalone unit for the SRT4. Doesn't that use NGC as well?

I know the newer 4.7 Dakota's use NGC...

Stand alone would be AEM's own R&D, not copied NGC.

If they no longer use NGC, what about the old 00-02 magnum code? By the way, what the heck is that called? OBDII?

i've never heard of this "emissions" thing either; what is it? lol i'm right next door in north georgia bud, running straight pipes is awesome

lets face it companies are scared too get in the neon market. we will never get the parts or r&d that the others get. I say there is no way that there will be a performance ecu for the ngc 2gn. But I hope I get proven wrong.

But, why would you need a copied NGC, when you can just P&P the AEM system? If the SRT4 uses the same harness as an 03+ neon, and they both use NGC, i can't see the problem.

from what understand the pin lay out is different on the srt. but no one has tried it because no one wants too spend all that money for some thing that might not work.

it would be more cost efficient and realistic to get a 2gn megasquirt KIT going... with all the tuning and shit needed, as much as possible

OR i could just pay Tooslow a couple hundred to put together a setup for me (plus the cost of MS of course). lol.

AEM's EMS is built from the ground up. no ngc mang.
