i have a 2001 2.0 and its starting to act up on me so i was wondering if the magnum motor will work without doing heavy modification(wiring ect). if it would work what other parts would i need to get the project finished?

the motor is a complete swap....just you won't have the magnum computer...so it won't have the same fuel maps and other stuff...also you will have to wire up a way for the butterflys to work in the intake....simple window switch and what not and it will work...

best bet would be to buy the complete magnum tranny and motor, itll probably have the ecu with it too
the wiring is so the manifold functions between the two stages correctly allowing the butterflies to operate at the correct rpms.... if you keep the butterflies in but dont wire the mtv power will be good but itll die off after 5k

Negatory. Even without them wired up it still pulls harder and longer past 5k than a stock plastic manifold.
One of these days I'll get that wired up

i never said its
worse than the stock plastic manifold, you just wont be using it to its
fullest potential.... sorry to clarify

No, unless you remove the cat.

Its pretty much a DIRECT swap, you just have to search here in 2GN on wiring your mainfold to function like a real magnum manifold...
