blown motor swap out

i wanted to know if any one out there could tell me if and 04-05 neon 2.0 litre motor would fit in an 02 neon??? and the "vin" is C what is that ?????? i threw and rod in my original motor as something puctured my oil pan and lost all my oil with out me knowing and well i need a motor

Its the same motor, but I dont know if you could use it out of an 04-05 because of the computer differences.

Different crank position sensor. Not compatible unless you also swap wiring.

No it will not work. The "C" in the Vin is telling you wether or not its a motor out of an R/T.
The only way you can swap with zero issues is to go with a motor out fo an 01-02. However with small minor issues. You can use a motor out of anything from 96-02. Big issue with others is the EGR ports. Which on your head is blocked from the factory. You will just have to get a block plate. And the tranny out of anything 96-01 will not work.
