thank you ahead of time for your help.
today after about 20 min on driving, my car started to idle at 1500rpm, and when I step on the gas it accreditated like normal but when I let off the gas it went to 2000-3500rpm's and then back to 1500. does anyone know what this is? please help!
Thanks!

check all your vacuum hoses make sure there on tight. soemtimes my mass airflow sensor come out and it ides funny...id check that out first, if youve done any cam work maybe the gears might be off a few degrees check the timing 2 if the vacuum hoses arent it

Check the rubber section between the intake manifold and the throttle body. If you don't have a hard pipe there, you could have a tear in the pipe that is small enough to where if you don't look close enough, you won't notice. Good luck

that happened alot on my 1st gen. and they adjusted the IAC, or replaced the sensor.

usually I'd just tap the gas, rev it a little more and it would drop right on back down to where it is suppose to be

Don' t ignor the obvious. Also check the mechanical linkage on the throttle cable.

We dont have MAFs (mass airflow) we have MAP (manifold absolute pressure) or somewhere on the lines of that. I would check vacuum lines even when i had a microscopic hole in my vacuum line it idled high. Or it could be the IAC like everyone else said.
