i think so...

if you drop it down and then wrap it around the PS and then go down to the crank pulley and wrap it around that and then the A/C pulley. go back to the top and pull it back off the PS and hold on to it. then get your wrench in there and move the tensioner and finish it up. its a little interesting because of the lack of space. but its not too bad.

that's how I always did it. Sort of hang it on the PS pump, push the rest down, make sure to get it right on the crank and AC compressor, then getting it tensioned is the fun part.
Remember what I said about a prybar between the tensioner and engine mount? this is where it comes in handy because it doesn't get in the way as much as a box end wrench. Also not as safe though.
Once it's on the bottom two pulleys, remove it from the power steering pulley, and try to fit your hand in enough to push it against the tensioner. Then pull on the tensioner and try to slip it over the power steering pulley again

lil update my companions. i tried once more to do this. made more headway this time and actually got the bolt out of the pulley, but that was it. i broke one of the puller arms using an air gun. snapped that shit right off. so after work yesterday, i took it to my mechanic and he said it would be no problem for him (i prefer to stop what i'm doing so i dont break shit and take it to someone who has done this for years) and i'm going to pick it up today after work! two of my buddies wanna race me, kris got a oil and trans fluid change in his celica (both fluids were black as charcoal) and he swears it picked up 20hp lol. me and chad have had a bet for over a year (he has an accord) so we might head to the strip sometime soon after i break everything in for a couple hundred miles (gimme 2 days, i love driving :D ) i'll post how much different it feels when i get home tonight!

I've noticed that working without air tools doesn't break as much stuff....But I've still managed to break a fair share of things that were supposed to hold WAY more stress than I put them through with my measely muscles.
Also, did you unplug your battery for 1/2 an hour and reset your PCM? It might take a while for it to adapt to the UDP.

yay post resurection!

im in the process of doing this right now... that being said... i cant get the smurfing stock pulley off... i have a chrysler harmonic balancer puller i rented from autozone... and the bish still wont come off...

btw... if you do this... dont lean on your brake rotor... i was doing that while trying to tighen the puller... the whole pulley moved and pinched my arm between the rotor and the brake caliper...

*sigh* think a stick of TNT will remove it?

lol i finally took mine to my mechanic to put it on..... then i traded the car a month later. i broke an arm on the pulley puller trying to do it myself and i said "okay self..... lets not be a tard and break anything." so my advice is to take it to a good mechanic. mine was installed for $50 :D

just so you know......and not everyone needs it.....
But if you take a ziplock baggie full of ice and hang it on the crank nose, and use a torch, not an oven, to heat up the pulley, it will go on ALOT easier.
First pulley I had I damaged banging it on because I used an oven.
Second pulley basically slid on by hand (and it's tight on the crank nose now that it's cooled.)
Get a torch. You'll want it for other stuff anyways.

i had it in the oven for about 30 mins @ 400*F

ran out side while it started to rain, and slid it on, and tightned the bolt to slide it on the rest. slid on easy w/o any probs at all.

got pics of the whole process too, so, when i have some free time god knows when, ill toss up a how-to for it.
