bored 2.0L to 2.4L all motor???

Ok ive been thinking about what to do performance wise to my 2gn car. At first i wanted to just swap in a srt setup but got to thinkin. What if i just bought a 2.0L engine and bored it out to a 2.4L? And I wanted to know once i did that, what would be the max power i could get with an all motor 2.4 engine. That was my biggest question. I wanted to know how much power i can get out of a 2.4L engine without using a turbo.
Then I was thinking what if I bored out the 2.0L engine and fully built the engine for a turbo setup. What would be the max power i could get once i did that without the turbo. Because with turbos, there are endless possibilities on how much power you can get or put out.
Basically i just want to know this. With a bored out 2.0L engine to a 2.4, what is the max power i can get when i fully build the engine for an all motor car.
My second question is, that with a bored out 2.0L to a 2.4L, how much power can i make when i fully build the engine for a turbo setup minus the turbo kit.
If anyone has recomendations on what I should do or who can answer me my questions i would really appreciate it. Thanks

You can't bore a 2.0 to 2.4. They are 2 different motors.
A 2.4 all motor has been up around 250 whp.
A 2.4 Turbo has been around 703 whp.
From what I've seen.

i believe i read its physically impossible to bore another .4l into the 2.0
an n/a 2.4 would be fun

best bore on a 2.0 block has been 2.2 that I know of.

thats also with a bigger stroke crank i beleive.
anyways u cant do it with a 2.0 liter block end of story. and fyi the 2.4 blocks have the same bore as the 2.0 its just the 101mm stroke crank on the 2.4 that make it 2.4 liters compared to the 83 mm stroke crank on the 2.0 blocks.

so a fully built 2.4L engines max power will be 250 without a turbo?? My friend has a gsr and is fully building it and its only a 1.8 and hes gunna get 280 to the wheels. How so???

gsr's like to rev, 2.4's dont.
that does hurt them in the power department, but the torque that it will produce will be really good.

so i would have to get a srt motor regaurdless if i wanted a 2.4L then huh? Well so much for saving money.

no, you can get a 2.4 out of a 4dr stratus, breeze, PT cruiser, caravan, and maybe something else, cant remember.

No, if you want a non turbo 2.4 you can get a pt motor, a stratus motor, an intrepid motor, the list goes on

intrepids didn't come with 2.4's they were V-6 cars only

by this statement it is obvious u dont know too much about cars/engines. two totally different engines for starters and size doesnt mean ish. have u ever seen a gsr's ports? do u know they can hit 9k all day long with no problem and actually get up beyond 10,500 rpm in full race set up (87.2mm stroke)............ at those rpms and with the correct high rpm horse power mods that cylinder head is flowing air in and out of it faster than speeds of mach 1. now have u ever seen a 2.4's ports? they are a bit smaller.......... and that 101mm stroke puts ur r/s ratio through the roof at 8000 rpms. the highest whp ive seen a b sereies engine was 318 whp (i think) and the highest ive heard a 2.4 motor going (or 2.5 in scott mohlers case) was around 365 bhp (i thought thats what i heard). those are race setups. street drving well im guessing u could do around 230 whp on a b platform and around 200 on a 2.4 platform. (comfortably that is)

ok first of all, dont go talkin bout how i dont know anything about cars or engines. i work on my car, im a mechanic, and i know a good deal about cars and performance. Im not a mastermind and havent done my research all that much and i wanted to ask these questions because no, i dont know everything and yes i would like for ppl to give a helping hand and their opinion.

ok let me rephrase that............. its looks like u dont know much about engine design/dynamics. is that better?

Ok children, lets not get problems started here
Read the information and absorb it....
Comparing the Jap motor to a domestic is like comparing apples to oranges. The Jap motors are light years more advanced than our domestic old school designed engines. The Jap's really put in a lot of time and effort into the design of there motors where as the domestic market has been using the same old school technology for years when it comes to 4cyl design.
The 2.0 can be bored .20 over, but thats it due to the thin wall design. As for stroking it, there are not much options there either. There used to be a 2.2 stroker kit designed for the 2.0 motor, key word "USE to Be". The kit was not worth the money since its cheaper to build a 2.4 motor Vs a 2.0 and you an get overall more power.

Why build a small block when a big block starts out power wise more than a small block?

Can the 2.4 NA crank be used in the 2.0?

I don't know about the 2.4 N/A, but, I know that the SRT-4 crank doesn't work.

2.4 crank cannot be used in a 2.0, neither can the rods
