Spark Plugs

I got NGK Iridium spark plugs.....WHats the best gap to run them for a 2000 neon..............It is .035" i am happy with the ones i have right now...i need to get better wires though not even sure of the brand i have now...any ideas on that

I think its .030, you can look under your hood and there will be a sticker saying what to gap them at.

Stock plug gap is .032.

Stock gap on 2.0L neons is .035". That would be ideal for most. Look on the emissions sticker under your hood shoul list the RC9YC and 0.035" gap on there.

Have a fun those should be wonderful plugs for your car.

Go back to the parts store and get the OEM copper champions gappeed to .035, you'll thank me.

^^^no he wont, the iridiums are just fine. he better not change them ever 30000 miles though.

I gapped mine at .032 all the time, ran great. (On the 01)

I gap mine to 0.035" as per emissions sticker suggestion (and FSM). Do the older neons call for a smaller gap?

some are, but its wise to check them either way. Some plugs arent gappable and must be left the way they come.

I run my iridiums gapped at .040...helps with the top end too....
Just remember, BE CAREFULL gapping them, the electrode is easily broken off if not done properly....

I gapped mine to .040 and that is what I have run in Champion plugs as well as my new NGK's.
