Hey, I just bought a 01 Chrysler Neon LX a few months ago.. and ive been doing a bit of engine work to it to get it back to the stock setup till im done modding my MR2...

but now to my question, I was driving home from work a few days ago and the engine light turned on.. so i pulled over and looked to make sure all the fluids were still good and most of them were topped since the weekend before i filled everything. But i dont find anything wrong with the car that can be done quickly.. it runs good still it runs normally, so could it be a o2 sensor, the ecu is on loop mode or what.. or could it be something else.. and how would i fix whatever you think it would be.

Thx

Turn the ignition to on (without starting the car) 3 times in a row, the odometer will now give you the code, Google said code.

Or once you get the code go to the general forum and look in the sticky.

Thx A FRICKIN Lot Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew id love this car.. god i dont even have to borrow my friends code reader lol... unless most new cars do this.. but my last car was a Honda Si 99 and it didnt have alot of working dash lights... erm..

but it still works and shit... but thats because i gave it to my friend who is a complete honda gearhead lol and modded the shit out of it in 3 months after i gave it to him.. but it was free so he had alot more to spend on mods lol

EDIT:
Hey, now my only problem is i got a o1 and the sticky is for 03 and newer... is there another place i can get the code.. or will those work???

Yeah I love that feature about these cars. With the older Dodges that didn't have the digital odometer, you could do the same thing, and it would blink the check engine light in sequence, giving you the codes. As in: blink-blink-pause-blink-blink-blink-blink-pause would be a code 24. It's awesome if your engine light comes on while you're driving, you can just pull over and see what happened right then and there.

Which codes did it throw anyway?
