Fool the cops for exhaust violation.

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

do cops profile, yes of course we do. does that mean we are prejudice, no it doesn't. most times if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck. it usually is a duck. I would stop a honda in a heartbeat... because the ones in my area had the obnoxious fart cannons, felt it necessary to spin out at every intersection and just be plain ignorant when it came to driving. and for the area that was a problem. neighborhood complaints, means more reports i have to write and questions from my supervisors of how i was to correct the problem to increase "quality of life" for the residents. and just a pain to me.
 we have a cop here in 2GN again....

I just want to point something out to all of you who live in states with these oppressive laws on exhausts and modifications:

NY, CA - Very liberal states
MO, FL - Very conservative states

What does that say?

I think it says thank god I live in MO! :D

In all seriousness though (I was actually just poking fun at liberals, god bless Rush Limbaugh), if you live in a state that has tough automotive laws, most of them are state laws, and then you have some counties and even cities that pass even stricter ordinances. If you want something changed, find out the history behind the law in question: who came up with it, why, and when? Then you can write your governor, city council, whomever, and see about getting it changed... believe it or not, you show up at a local council meeting, you will most likely be the only one there, and guess what, you vote, they have to listen, and more than likely will consider what you have to say about something. Also, most laws, ordinances, whatever can be overturned through the process of petition and getting stuff on a ballot... do some work! So, my suggestion is this, either accept what your state has imposed on you as what you feel unfair, and stop complaining about it and just follow it, OR do something, so that way once you have worked and either failed or accomplished something, you can justify your complaints  ;) :D
