air sucking noise?

Post by onewickedkid05 » Tue Oct 23, 2007 11:28 pm

so i got and installed my Modern 60mm tb had to use lowes hex scres for the adapter plate ran it around the block everything seemed fine. I just noticed this air sucking noise coming from the throttle body and when i took a really close look it looks as if the adapter plate has a small gap in it between it and the throttle body right in the front...not sure how to fix it?

Since it's not sealing good, make a gasket (if you don't have one already).

Use gasket maker...it's that sticky black tar looking stuff.

Comes in a tube at Autozone or any autostore for about 5 bucks

It'll help your idle out a lot

You just want to put a thin line about 1/4" around the outside the hole(s). YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET ANY INSIDE THE HOLE!

Mine did the same thing, I wonder why it doesn't come with a gasket.
