As some of you may know I have a 2000 dodge neon es and am planning a turbo in the near future. Now for the questions, for my top end rebuild, should I get new stainless steel valves or just reuse my old valves. Or as a totally seperate idea, get my head ported and poslished and get oversized valves. What do you guys think? Thanks.

if you have the money why not do the P&P and oversized valves??

With a turbo I really don't think getting a P&P and adding larger valves will do as much as it would on an N/A engine. You're basically forcing the air into the cylinder so valve size doesn't matter near as much as it does when you're having to pull the air in. It's your money, spend it anyway you like but I'd think a stock Magnum head would work fine with a turbo.

OKay, so what about new valves (Std size), new ones or just reuse the stock valves?

actually PandP will do a great deal on a turbo car, more capable volume.

the oversized valves will also make a big difference in spool up time. Srt guys see anywhere from 2-500rpm cut off spoolup time with a good port job and oversized valves,

I do know that a good turbo grind cam would be a nice thing to have. You don't need anywhere near the over lap between valves with a turbo that you need in an N/A motor since the extra psi will push out exhaust gas much faster then a N/A engine does.
If it were me I'd do a mild P&P(mostly cleaning things up more then opening them up) add some stock size stainless valves, get a turbo rated cam and be done with it. But I'm a cheap bastard, what do I know, LOL. :tardbang:

Yeah I dont know about getting a P&P job, I dont know how much it costs, but I am pretty sure, to much lol for my rubuild I already have almost 2k in just parts alone so I dont know about geting a P&P job on top of that... x.x;;; But deffinately get new Stainless steel valves? Anyways this is a pretty nice turbo I got, a t3/t4.... so yeah also I am getting a good turbo cam.
