starting/idle problems?

okay this is evry frequent now either when i start it it wont start unless i rev to get it going even then somtime rpms jsut drop and it stalls or it dips to 400 rpms and doesnt regain till i rev and sit there for like 10 minutes i thinking my IAC once the idle gets to normals its fine i can drive for hours stop and go never stalls or acts odd jsut getting it started is the pain any ideas guys?
hmm..., not sure if a coolant sensor would cause this w/o setting off a cel. If it was reading normal temp all the time, don't know if the pcm would recognize that. I know the sensor has two seperate wires - one for the gauge and one for the pcm. What I don't know is if both wires run off the same sender. This ia where an A/F gauge would be nice. If the mix was lean @ cold then it would point to improper temp reading. (Or clogged injectors, but that would show in other areas) As far as the IAC, does it oen when you key on? (without crankig the starter) Have some one turn the key on and listen feel the IAC it should make a noise this is the PCM cranking it wide open for starting, once the engine fires it adjust the idle down. If there is no noise then it is prolly stuck. if there was a broken wire or the driver is bad you should get a cel.
