O2 Sensor LIAR!
O2 Sensor LIAR!

This is a link to something I found on Ebay that i've never seen before. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether or not it's bogus. I know the computers in the 03+ neons are hard to mess with, but I know it compensates for a 50 shot of nitrous, so would it for a lower voltage out of the second O2 sensor?

granted, it does not pertain to using the resistor but it boils down to being the same scenario. The pcm needs the readings from the O2 sensor to set the proper A/F ratio's, fooling the O2 sensor will give the wrong readings to the pcm at the wrong time resulting in all in al bad results. Remember, the stock pcm is calibrated to read X amount of air Vs X amount of fuel to try to get the best STOICH reading as possible. When something comes into play to mess with those readings the charts for say will not meat properly causing issues....there are more tech terms in explaing on what is happening, but I don't have the time to get into detail....

Re: O2 Sensor LIAR!
I think his question was more towards using it to fool the PCM into thinking there is a functioning cat. converter. Kind of a high tech fouler mod. Summit Racing sells something along that line for GM vehicles... Weather it will work or not is anyone's guess. If you want to spend $39.98 to find out be my guest.ejclide wrote: so would it for a lower voltage out of the second O2 sensor?

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
