So i installed the magnum intake manifold i bought a while back, after giving it a nice port and polish. I Made the inlet as big as possible, something like 54.5mm. Anyways, it works great, and i definitely feel a difference with it on there, and i still haven't wired up the secondaries to my digital window switch. Anyways i just thought id add a wierd finding of mine, I have an obx UDP on my car, and it used to made the CEL blink after 5500 rpm indicating a non-existant misfire. There are many ppl with this same problem. Well it's been three weeks now, and i have yet to make the CEL come on like it used too. I'm pretty happy about it, not that it really bugged me that much, but hey, i figured i'd share my findings with everyone. I have a bunch of pics of the ported manifold if anyone wants ill post em up!

I have been working on a custom throttle body and have been meaning to port my intake. I would appreciate it greatly if you post those pics! :)

Actually, that is GOOD news ....

That 'UDP' misfire code is a long-time ongoing problem for the 2002's.
It's strange that you somehow 'accidentally' fixed it somehow ??

I wonder how changing the manifold would 'fix' the misfire code ?? :confused1:

You'll wanna hook the secondaries up as soon as you can. Check out this dyno chart showing always open and always closed secondaries. I think they said at the end of the closed they opened them up just to verify. You should be seeing something like the red curve right now.

I've not had mine hooked up since I installed it two years ago.

This summer they're getting hooked up though. Finally got off my ass and bought a window switch :lol:

wow, so the difference is 20hp/16trq??? what kind of car was it on?
