WHat all is required when installing valve cover?

Hey,

I was lucky enough to pick up a Mancini valve cover (red) when they were back in stock for a day, but haven't installed it yet. I figure I might as well replace what I can when I put the new cover on since my car is a bit over 100,000km and is probably due for a tune-up. So far, I have gathered I need:

- PCV valve
- valve cover gasket
- tube seals

Is there anything else I am missing? My mechanic buddy is going to help me install it, but I want to make sure I have everything I need before I go over there.

That should be all you need. Although you MIGHT need the seals for around the cover bolts, but they are almost always re-usable.

How are the spark plug tubes themselves? ...any issues with them rising up at all?

If so, be prepared to reseat them when you do this job as this will be an opportunity to have better access.

Those come with the Fel-Pro VC gasket kit.

I second checking the spark plug tubes. If they are loose you might just want to replace the bottom seals and use some loctite to keep them down.

The rubber grommets on the bolts are more of a safeguard against over tightening than for sealing.
The loc-tite is the seal on the bottom of the tubes, that and interference fit.

the tube seals can be a PITA if you dont get them on there correctly but besdies that youve pretty much listed all the parts you need and its a relatively simple mod to install
