I ordered this book High - Performance Dodge Neon (Builder's Handbook) really great book. Now I have an 03 R/T, UDP w/ AEM CAI w/ aem air filter.
I want to replace dry air filter w/ old K&N filter but I use water and the oil to clean it so I'm not sure if that will work or if it is good to do.
In the book I read that first - gen automatic have a 52mm, and you can swap it w/ our stock 49mm, now I'm wondering if this first - gen TB will fit and 2gen?

I have the book as well. Most of the information seems to be correct, so I have no doubts about most of the information in there.

From what I've read on here, only the 1g had a size difference in TB's. The 2g is supposed to have the same size for all models.

Yes, all non-SRT 2gn's have a 52mm TB

Which narrows down to 49mm at the throttle plate to create a Venturi effect.
Also, 1st gen throttle bodies bolt directly to the intake manifold whereas the 2nd gen is seperated from the intake manifold by a bellows tube. So without modification, a 1GN TB won't work.
