Did i hydrolock my engine?

As long as both are MTX they will swap out with no issues. Pull the axles, support the car/engine/trani safely, unplug everthing electrical/plumbing, and unbolt the mounts and lower the assy. the car just needs to be high enough to slide it out from under. If thats what you meant by "manual" I assume you want to slap engine and trans both, instead of separating the two.

ok, thanks occasional deamons... So i just ordered a neon sx 2004 engine for 179 + 300shipping to a total of 479.

Most of them seems pretty straight forward and i'm sure i would be able to do it with a friend, but the only problem is... how do you guys get it high enough for the engine/trani to slide out from the bottom? I don't have access to a vehicle hoist... would an extra large jack/jackstand be able to do the job?

Also, how high does it need to be approximately? as high as the top of the engine normally? Thanks man, i know i'm asking a lot of newb questions... but i'm in the process of learning too.

if you're just changing the engine it might be better to just disconnect it from the trani and pull it from the top.
