So when i bought me car it came with a short ram intake and i was lookin in the engine bay and well i noticed one cut wire and 2 wires comin out of a harness and i dont know where they should go
i notcied he capped them off with the red clips
this is where it comes from......
and then this is another spliced wire
it goes to the sensor the plugs into the Short Ram i think its a brown wire with a red stripe
could this be causeing the engine code that says ambient air temp high?
any input and solutions would be nice and greatful

I don't see an Intake Air Temp (IAT) Sensor. If that is missing, then that could very easily be your problem.
Hit a junkyard and grab one off of an 00-02 or 03+ (whichever category your car falls into). There may be a difference, but I'm not sure. I'm sure you could get one at a dealer as well, hopefully you wouldn't have to buy the whole harness to do it that way

Shoot, I may have mis-spoke. Can you take a pic of the sensor that is plugged into the short ram right next to the filter on the side towards the battery. Like pull it out and take a pic of it.
When I get home I'll look at my car to see if there are any other wires in that area and what they plug into.

keep in mind this is on an '03 SRT that he's asking this on. The plug looks familiar but I can't place it..

Could it be one of those sensors that are normally attached to the air box?
also, could you post your car info in either the garage or your sig. i didn't know that i was looking at an srt and would have been really confused later

The wire is out of the connector, correct? If I'm thinkin' right it needs two wires. If that's the case you'll need to get one from a JY or see your dealer for a replacement pigtail. If you have lots of paitence and can work with small stuff you may be able to disassemble the connector and solder the wire back onto the pin and reassemble the connector. But I think pigtails are about $20 ish but don't hold me to that. Danteneon could get you a correct PN#/price. The sensor itself is cheap. IIRC the NGC's also have an ambient sensor in the battery blanket, so you prolly aren't getting a battery light like us 00-02 ppl would.

well im assuming i have the IAT sensor just the brown wire needs to be soldered back on that or get a new one
now the connector that has the 2 red wire crimps that is the one that has me at a lost....does anyone have any idea?

Yep, the last pic is the IAT sensor. The other two may be to fog lights that the previous owner installed bullet connectors to instead of the OEM connector. Just a guess...
