And when i started it up, it ideled at like 3k rpms and made a hishing sound. i checked the throttle cable to see if it was catching on anything and it wasnt. so i tried started it agian and eventually the check engine light came on and it died, and wouldnt start agian. Sounds like you knocked a vacuum line off, or the bellows tube is loose. You prolly have a code for the MAP, IAC or related. There is a sticky for getting/removing codes if you don't know how... Check all the connectors and vacuum lines. Be sure the bellows tube is tight on both ends, and has no cracks in it.

Even though you closed the throttle, air is able to get into the intake manifold through the leak. The ecu adds more fuel so it doesn't lean out, and your rpms kick up till it becomes stoich. I dealt with a mild version of this problem for like a year :banghead:

Like occasional said, check for a good seal on all of the tube on the manifold and tb. You'll also wanna check the bellows tube a few time, as the leak is past your TB. PCV hose could have come loose too.

There is a ghetto way to find the leak. Light up a cigarette or cigar and gently blow it over the area of suspected leaking. Don't inhale the smoke so it's really thick, makes it easier to see where it enters. The fan has to be off though or the smoke will disperse. Redneck leak finder.

Don't do this. You'll give your engine lung cancer.

probably the vaccum line on the side of the valve cover... check all hoses and "nipples". I like checking nipples. Congratz on the SRT4-ACR. :D I am jealous.
