2.4 -2.0

can u put a 2.4 head off a stratus into a 00 neon with a 2.0 ? is there any performance gains doing this? or is it a waste of time?!!

I didn't think it could be done because of the size of the engine, but I was told that you could do it... I know I don't believe it either... And yes I do believe you would see some gains on 00-02 engines, since i think the stratus is a DOHC, but you would also need a bunch of other things...

so, it would cost a good deal, and you wouldn't see enough power per dollar (IMO).

Depends on a lot of factors. Do the head, and you also need everything else around the head. Intake manifold, exhaust manifold, plug wires, etc. The higher you rev it, the more it would be effective. Just don't drop it on a stock engine with stock control and expect magic to happen.

well my gf's sister has a stratus with a 2.4 in it and she is going to jump the car bc it wont pass inspection safety wise so i can get what ever parts i need off of it . but then the next thing will srt 2.4 parts fit on a stratus 2.4

Swap the entire 2.4 and then get a PT 2.4NA Computer. Boost it later.

is it worth doing ?? the engine has like 280k miles on it?! and burns oil like 3 qts a week
