95 sohc head on a 05

ie searched and cant find the right answer will the head fit on my car found one with cam and all 40 buks

I believe it should work as long as it's the sohc head, but I'm not 100% sure.

It will. You would need to get a block-off plate for the EGR however. And swap your sensors to the 95 head.

i figured if it would id have to swap sensors just making sure egr block off is coming with it

Yes. All SOHC heads have the same intake bolt pattern. Different gasket styles are used, but all IM's interchange. there are some clearance issues between 1gn and 2gn heater tubes and starters, but as far as the head is concerened....

It will as well. The 95 head is structurally the same, so if a part will fit on a 2nd gen head it will fit the 95 as well.
And remember, the magnum manifold will fit, but porting work should be done to realize the additional flow.

oh yes port and polish intake and exhaust sides,comp 400 shaving the head (what is a safe amount to shave off?)

Not sure on the tolerance of how much can be removed, but you will need an adjustable cam gear to degree the cam, as milling the head changes the cam timing.

'95 heads have a different valve cover and a coil bracket... you'll need a few different bolts for a PCV valve cover to fit as the head is tapped for different size bolts that hold the coil bracket on.
