cam?

ok i have a 05 sxt 2.0 and i was thinkin of buyin a cam for the car, what do i need to know before i do this to make sure i purchase the right one

You wont gain a whole lot on a NGC car. The biggest cam I'd go with is a crane 12, comp 200, or a mag cam. Anything bigger will make the computer poop itself, add fuel, and pull timing.

so the cam wont give me much gain huh? im lookin to make more power so whats gonna be my best route without spending a ridiculous amount of cash

Well, all the bolt ons, a long tube header and a small cam will give you some gains, but doing that in a 1gn will give you much better gains.

yeah ive got a 97 but it has a 02 motor in it

Oh gotcha. It's mainly the fact that there is no tuning support for the 03-05 neons. The computer will pretty much back down any tuning you try to do. Say you get 7 HP from a cam on a 95-02, you'll get 3-4 from an 03-05.

That's what my plan was, then I got a 1st gen...now the 05 is a beater.
