Okay so I got a question for you guys, I hope you can help me.
So about 2 weeks ago I replaced the spark plugs/wires.
When I was replacing them I noticed that the 3rd one from left to right has rust, but not just the spark plug the whole inside block has rust, and it was really hard to pull it out, all other 3 were clean, and inside was rally clean, just like new. So I also had a topic about a noise in the passenger airbag, actually that comes from the engine area, which I believe is that spark plug. The car runs smoother with the new wires/plugs. I also replaced water pump, fuel filter, alignment all way around new 205/50/R16 Zexius tires etc.
So I am afraid that someday will quit working, and I don't want to sell it, can't afford another one at the moment. So is that the cylinder block that has to be replaced or something else? I will post pics later.

Possibly the old boot was letting a spark to arc out in there, causing the way that looks. Or it got moisture in there. The worst you would have to do is replace that tube. But it should n't be an issue. If there was a hole rusted or arced through you would of had a tube full of oil. Just do a search on "spark plug tubes" and you will see what they look like with the VC pulled off. There are a lot of threads, and most have pic's. Definately no need to replace the engine over this. :D

Doesn't look too bad to me, although that plug tube seal looks pretty nasty. I bet a little oil and moist air creeped in past the bad seal and rusted up a little. My #3 tube has the same thing from a bad tube seal.

It's a good idea to use the electrical lube for the plug wires. Every post on my coil pack was rusted because the guy didn't use the di-electric grease and let the car sit in outside in the humid moist air for a few months.
