will it fit my '01 SE? is it going to make it start quieter?
I am trying to make my car as silent as it could be.

I don't see why it would make the car start quieter.... or if it would fit....:?

i don't think it will make it any quieter but it will fit. I have a 2.0 starter on my SRT-4 engine

They carry different part numbers but i have no idea what or why their is a difference.

why are you trying to make your car quiet? trying to make it a sleeper, or a luxury car?

So the GF's dad doesn't hear him leave!

:cussing: Damn teenager's!

The only thing you can try is sound deadening around the starter/bellhousing. But it would need to be the black sticky lead foil backed stuff, other wise you may have an oil soaked mess that could catch fire.

Fuck it, ain't my daughter. :beatstick:

Perhaps the motors themselves are the same dimension but if I recall the teeth ont the SRT flexplate is different than the regular neon...I just remember there was a reason when I did my tranny swap that I had to use the SRT starter.
