Spark Plug Fouler Trick

Post by 04_yelneon » Sat Mar 07, 2009 4:50 pm

I recently put a header an downpipe on my car followed by the fouler trick. I did it based off the how to on the forum. After installing it, I still have my engine light on. I disconnected the battery prior to doing this, and after I installed it, I connected it back, I went about 25 miles and the engine light came back on. I shaved off just a little in the fouler just to get the 02 in it. didnt touch the bottom part of the fouler. Any suggestions or other tricks?

The fouler mod is hit and miss.

If you end up having to put a cat on, magnaflow makes one that is pretty small so it fits nicely with the shorter space.

well thats what was on my car before the header and downpipe. I had the stock exhaust manifold and a magnaflow highflow cat from modern.

But after my engine light came on I used my scan tool and erased the code. Its been off for a couple of days now. I guess I couldv done that first but oh well...
