Anyone have experience with Top-Speed catback?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Anyone have experience with Top-Speed catback?

Post by JeffM » Tue Mar 10, 2009 12:24 pm

Hey guys,

So I was bored and looking around Ebay for cheap stuff when I decided to look for exhausts. I found a "Top Speed" catback that is pretty cheap ($149) and looks like an R/T catback. Anyone ever heard of it or had one before? My muffler looks pretty sad right now and I was thinking of changing it out. Anyone got any info on it?

Here's a link to it:

you may want to find out if it 2" or 2 1/4". Their were some exhausts on ebay that were only 2"

On www.topspeedauto.com they SAY it's for 2000 and up model Neons...but you might be right. They only tell me the width, length, and height dimensions.

i'm hoping that they didn't do what the other ebay exhaust makers did and get their measurements from the early 2000's, which were 2" not the more common 2000 1/2 on up 2 1/4"

Eh... just send out an email.

They actually make decent products, I've seen their catback for the 350z/g35 and it was pretty good quality. Very similar to the RSR exhausts in look and sound. I live 5 miles from their shop in addison so I've seen a few cars driving around with their kits.

Haven't seen the neon kit though, I might have to take a drive up there and check it out.

EDIT: If you look on youtube there are quite a few videos of the top speed exhaust on different cars, didn't see a neon on there though. I'll browse through and see if there is one.

The only 4 cylinder I saw was an 06 civic si, but it was a single exit so I'm not sure how the duals will sound. It does look like a thermal knock-off, which seems to be that companies MO. The 350z kit is a knock-off of the RSR and it is pretty close in sound and look.
