Eagle Rods??

Post by BillyMike » Tue May 12, 2009 11:55 am

I read on Modern that the Eagle rods are good to 430hp I'm looking to build a 400hp car will this be to much stress on the rods? Or should I just go ahead and get the Crower rods and call it a day?

Eagle = Solid

You really shouldn't have any problems with Eagles. They have a long standing reputation with hundreds of different applications.

The 'newer' eagle rods with the 3/8 ARP 2000 bolts are good for around 1000hp. They are just trying to up-sell the Crower rods.

Parts like that are built with a safety factor in mind. They could probably hold 600hp, but they figured that a safe level is 430.
