CEL P0703 huh?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

CEL P0703 huh?

Post by sullygully » Tue Jun 16, 2009 10:22 pm

Anyone had this? ....

P0703(M) Brake Switch Sense Circuit Incorrect input state detected in the brake switch circuit. (Changed from P1595).

And what does the (M) stand for? and what does "changed from P1595" mean? (which is: Speed Control Solenoid Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in either of the speed control vacuum or vent solenoid control circuits).

Car seems to run fine(other then its normal quirks). However, i did seem to notice today when cruising at idle(without giving gas) that it seemed to stay at 1100rpms for several seconds before droping down to 700rpm ish. not sure if that means anything, plus its not something i've really pay any attention too either....
