hey i cant seem to find what I'm looking for on the forum so if you could post a link with the answer to my question below that would be greatly appreciated or if you can just answer it that would be good too.
so here goes.
i am looking for a replacement cat back exhaust for my 05 srt-d i have the stock srt-4 dual exit exhaust but it doesn't sound low enough for my liking. i would like to find a low sounding exhaust system that doesn't sound like a ricer. if anyone has ideas hit this back. i was thinking about the magnaflow cat back exhaust

For much less than $560, your local exhaust shop could weld a resonator in the midpipe, and install a mid eighties camaro muffler in the rear section.
I have a Camaro muffler -Walker QuietFlow pn 22253 ($75) at Federated Auto Parts (Lifetime warranty), and had it and the tips welded in for another $75 A resonator welded in might run another $30 to $60 depending on your area. So even paying someone to do the work may be cheaper, if you don't need new pipe.

sounds good but i want to see what others have in mind by buddy has a Camaro and he hacked the muffler off and my car compared to his (both with no mufflers) sound about equal but i want a muffler and no loud crack when my car shifts at high rpm. when i gun it. the new pipes are needed there looking kinda rusty cuz i live in north west ohio i blame it on the snow and rain.

If you really want to, get a trubendz kit.

The kits other than the tubing kits come with hangers pre-welded, and with clamps for the parts.

WORD!
I've got a tru bendz kit and it sounded great before i went wild and did headers and cat. Now it's just loud.
Before, it was a nice rumble. I'd say r/t loud.

One of these days, I'll get to updating it with the final set up.
Just finding the time when the sun is still up...

I went with the magnaflow camaro muffler and had it welded in at a shop. I had to because of the old body kit I had, that way the tips lined up properly. I still love it, sounds much better than all the ricer exhaust I hear around here.

I like the sound of my Dynamax Super Turbo Camaro muffler. Deep, throaty, ummm...oh yeah, that is the exhaust note I'm describing
Built it myself using the Walker Super Turbo cat-back pipe (which is now a Borla mid pipe), a Walker axle to muffler pipe, a couple of 2 1/2" 90s for the outlets, and some Vibrant 2 3/4" oval SS tips to finish it off. Final price...$225.000
I've got to get better pics of this thing

The 2.0 exhaust will probably be deeper and better sounding since it has an actual muffler.

Anything designed for the SRT-4 will be loud on an N/A car, since the turbo is not there to reduce the noise level. A turbo is the only muffler that actually gives some gains.

Personally, I'd go with the one that Dante has on his car

I may be the only one on the site with it, but I've got the Mopar/Borla exhaust on my R/T and there is no rasp what so ever and it's only loud when I hit 5K+ rpm
