clap sound after motor build

It sounds like an exhaust leak at the head/exhaust manifold gasket. Now if that's actually what it is, could be another matter.

Uh, oh. Sounds like you have the clap. You could either see a doctor about it and take the antibiotic, or if you have properly assembled the motor, do like everyone is telling you and check for exhaust leaks close to the head. The sound quality isn't great, but it sounds pretty sharp. Might also be a loose spark plug.

what did you do to the bottom end cuz if that was an exhaust leak id expect a higher freq. clap even at idle. (as in more claps per second). I should know i have a cracked header.

Granted there isn't enough run time to get a good feel of the noise, but it seems to be in sync with the way it was running.

OP hasn't exactly chimed in since either.

It sounded like one of those custom choppers with an almost supercharger-ish whine.
