The brand is nicknamed "Paceshitter" for a reason.

NGC. Lower compression. Don't waste your money.

It's a decent replacement for your oem manifold, but not much of an upgrade. That seems to be the norm for most of their headers, with maybe a few exceptions.

Headers are weird for the neon, you either get a shorty or get one that eliminates the cat. I think the borla one is the best shorty header, a little pricey though.

Yup, excon. For an N/A build on an NGC neon, it's my opinion that the first thing that needs to be done is a bump in compression. Then when you do your other mods, you will actually relieve bottlenecks.

the moral of this story: save your money for a turbo build or swap. Then you will be happy. Best bang for buck.

If anything spend the money on something more effective. Cams work pretty well in NGC cars, except the lack of compression makes them less effective than they would be. But that would be one of my first mods if I were trying to milk a little more power out of one.

okay im about to ask the most n00b question ever. are you ready? what does NGC stand for?

btw just ordered my CAI :D

cancel the order and buy compression pistons, its the only worthwhile mod with your current compression ratio.

I know its a lot of money but just have a long term plan to upgrade your neon. So you can save up for what counts.

well im going to UTI next year and then work for BMW so i will most likely end up selling the neon for a sexy M3. or maybe just save the money and do a SXT to SRT swap. New engine, Turbo, 400 Cams, Pistons. that way when i race a 08 civic si i wont lose like i did today haha. even though the SI is pushin around 200hp and im at 130 lol

try ~108 at the wheels. Dodge rated their engines at the flywheel.

NGC stands for next generation controller (or computer).

After installing your cold air intake your PCM, or computer, figures out more air is coming in and it is indeed cooler than if it were coming in through the air box (hypothetically). Your computer makes adjustments to keep your air:fuel ratio as close to stock as possible therefore giving you close to 0 gain in horsepower.

...is it too late to return your cai?
