oil pressure guage install help

oil pressure guage install help

I bought a gauge from a friend of mine and i dont believe i have it installed correctly because its not reading the oil pressure correctly this is the unit it self

i only have a positive lead going to the sending unit because i do not see any where to place the negitive except for the actual gauge it self please help me solve this. :readclose

connect the gauge ground to a chassis ground.. or some metal surface.. the sending unit doensnt need a ground as it is grounded through the engine block.. i believe... correct me if im wrong

IIRC the positive should connect to the gauge. Then the "S" out from the gauge goes to the sender. The sender gives the gauge windings a variable ground path to change the magnetic field, that moves the needle.

What connections do you have on the back of the gauge and what's connected to them?
