3 inch exhaust

am only boosting bout 9lbs and runin stok exhaust. the question is should i get a 3inch cat back exhaust? or a 3 inch turbo back exhaust? wich one is better? or am i not boosting enough, to have a 3 inch exhaust? TANKS in advance

yeah 3 in sounds a bit excessive. i would go 2.5 in turbo back for sure

why is 3 inch too much? just a question or why do u suggest 2 and a half instead.

You can do 3", but for the amount of boost you are currently running, you will not see a huge gain over 2.5" or even stock 2.25".

but 3 inch will not hurt me, all i want is my turbo to be breathing right.

It really depends on what your plans are for the future. If you plan to run serious power (over 300hp), then you might as well go 3" now. If you plan to keep it under or around 300hp, 2.5 is plenty for your needs.

2.5" exhaust can accomidate a lot of power if you have built it correctly. When you go 3" exhaust it's more for striclty track power and not so much daily driving.

Personally, I'd go 2.5" because it takes a lot to really need a 3" exhaust on a little 4 banger. The best combo is a cut-out and 2.5", becaue the cut-out eliminates the need of a 3" when you really want to run it hard.

so than what you are saying is to do a 2 and a half turbo back exhaust. correct? am not planing on going that much hp(budget is low) if i was to do a 3 inch cat back woul it be a waste? usefull no gains at all?
