Engine Vibration

Post by Rondeau04 » Fri Apr 02, 2010 11:07 am

i have a 2003 dodge neon sxt
recently when im in drive and when im accelerating i will get this very loud vibrating sound, i cant figure out where its coming from.
it will also do it when i start the car in the morning. once the temperature outside gets warm it stops.

i changed the lower motor mount and the upper mount.

it seems like its coming from the left side of the engine almost where the engine itself is connected to inside of the fender. below the upper motor mount

can someone please give me some feedback on this problem i am going crazy trying to figure out what this is.

Wow, two in one day

Start here... viewtopic.php?t=43837

Do that first and see if it fixes your issue. If not, we'll dig deeper.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

LOL. If they are aligned, your actual motor mount may be bad.

yeah i figured out the problem it was actually the right engine mount. i fixed the problem temporarily at the moment. just cant seem to find a diagram on how to change the right engine mount. to i actually have to pull the engine or can i do it by just removing the center bolt and the four surrounding bolts.

thank you everyone for the help to its greatly appreciated.
