can it hurt the engine?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

i know you are going to hat this question but you will know when it is time for new pistons, trust me you don't need them now.
do a cam after you have a header, exhaust, 60mm, and an intake manifold.

you can get a new one from modernperformance.com for $199 before shipping mine is the same as theirs and brand new for $175 shipped.

oh oh and another ?

it was raining pretty hard the other day... and since i have a long air intake with a high flow filter it is pretty close to the openings in my front bumper... and hangs (to me uncomfortable) close to the ground... to where if i were to go in a 3 inch puddle and splash id prolly suck up some water....

now since it was raining CRAZY hard like visablity was like 5 feet
i think i did suck up some water cuz my car made like a turbo blow off valve sound.... now i hope the hell my car is ok cuz it did it 2 times...

should it be ok?

the real ? is what is better for all proformance and safe and just to make it faster sake

a long air intake or a short air intake... i know long is farther from the heat of hte engine and short isnt....

but wtf about if you live where it rains like a mother f*cker

they have a bypass valve from AEM that you can use, or you can buy a ram air intake.

okay...

alright now... this is what pisses me off... i have no idea what year neons are like the 2004 dodge neon sxt...

you said about modernproformance with teh 60mm tb

okay.. but it says on there 2000 threw 2001 dodge neons?

does this me it can only be used for those years... or can it be used for 2004 to...

this the the main reason why i joined here cuz some say about a part but yet it only says its for 2003 or what ever

i have two 60mm tb both are for the 2000-2001 ATX. (long story for why i have two) but the one i use works perfectly on my 05 atx (i just can't use cruise control which is fine i never used it anyway)
-as far as other things suspension parts work with all 2gn cars (srt4 included)
-body parts are interchangeable (as long as you match the lights w/ same years bumpers)
-interior all 2gns (including srt4) are interchangeable
-wheels/tires (all 2.0l neons 2000-05 are interchangeable) you can put srt wheels on if you use srt struts.

these are just generalities. trust me it gets alot more complicated so basically if it says it fits an 03-05 atx then it will fit your car 100%

yea they fit you just kinda have to squeeze them in there i haven't messed with my lights or bumper since 2005 so i don't really remember how, but it might just be easier to take the bumper off then put the lights on then put the bumper back on (i only recommend doing it this way if you are having a hard time putting the lights in)

my lights have a rubber gasket around the outer rim of them maybe you need to swap your gaskets or get new ones, or maybe jerry-rig some polyurethane to seal it.

well its like this

the bumper headlight hole is about 1/4 of an inch in front of the head light... like the head lights set way back in if i push tthe headlights out near the bumper more its okay looking then if i press up on the bumper is great...

i heard that diffrent manufactures make the same headlights...

im just wondering if they all have the same measurements and all that

^lol sound system is like nothing distributed to the car...

As summarize overall, for lowering springs, Megan Racing makes 2.0" for our car for only about $100-150. They look pretty nice when installed. If you have CAI, don't ever drive into a deep puddle or a lake, unless you want your rods bent and have the engine totaled. If you really want some good looking headlights, I'll suggest racoon or projectors mounted with HID kits. I'm not into the sound system at all and I always hate those ricers have some super loud stuff and make me deaf...

Cold air intake.

Because motor + water = bad.

Most of the CAI sound like a turbo blow off due to the air sucking process. Since water cannot be compressed like gas that's why the rods will bend. If you are thinking of put on a SRI, why not just leave the stock air system there and throw in a high flow filter? That will result better than a SRI probably.

my air intake just makes a sucking sound....

the other day it was raining like crazy and all of a sudden my car made a blow off sound
like water being super heated very quick and vapor leaving ...

my air intake or car has NEVER ever done this sound... it did it 2 times when it was raining

OK let's just make it clear. If your engine is still running, then there shouldn't be any problem.
