I always take them out from the top... It's a preference thing, based on what tools you have at your disposal, what you have had better luck with, how much help you have. Depending on experience it can take a few hours or half a day, either way, don't put yourself in a position where it HAS to happen in a certain amount of time.. personal experience has shown me that you would be setting yourself up for failure

If the car is just a donor for the engine, cut the core support out of the way, and remove from the front.

i was just wondering because ive never done either way i just have the oppertunity to use a lift and i wasnt sure if i should use it or not

Use the lift. It will make removing the knuckles, halfshafts, etc. much easier. Standing > lying on your back.

alright cool thanks for the help.im prolly not gonna use the lift cuz i only have a day with it so i dont wanna be rushed. i want it to get done right the first time lol

Using a lift ALWAYS trumps not using a lift. Even if it's just lifting the car up a foot or so to keep you from having to lean over the car.

yeah i know. i only have a few hours with the llift and i dont wanna be rushed with the build lol..
