It will blow hot if you remove the compressor.

He's got an 04, it's true. If he had a 2K, it'd be different! :p

Without an ac compressor all you're doing is letting engine compartment/cowl air in the car with the fan on. So I suppose you could get cool air if its cool outside? Otherwise, no.

I deleted mine, Cody. Being that i also had damage to the A/C lines, and no real desire to fix them at the moment (or $). It's just one more thing to fix before my car's back to "new" and by the time i get this car completed, it'll be fall, and cooling down. If i cant stand this NC heat next year with the windows down and sunroof open, THEN i'll fix it. It also helps that i have another neon with A/C to drive around though :D.

Actually I did it last night at around 10pm, when everything cooled down (It was still bastard hot in the garage though). I was originally just removing the power steering pump (awaiting one from chipdogg) because that was busted up as well. But when you're bored, and you see more things you can do, why not go for it?

Its hot as a motherfucker out here now (I'm in Ohio right now) and I'm SO fucking happy for ac in my car. Driving here last night and the fan was on level 1, with the temperature about half cold, and I was STILL getting cold. I love my damn AC way too much to ever get rid of. My fat ass would have fried like bacon without it yesterday!

My R/T won't be in "working" order until the weather cools down anyway, and when its fixed i'll be using it during most of the winter (to give my SXT a break on mileage) I'll definitely use my air conditioned neon during the summer months more often than not.

Max fan, full cold, face only, windows up. Until I come to a hill. It goes off so the power reappears.

Dude, I do that too, but on the highway for long periods, that shit just gets TOO cold sometimes. Pretty awesome though, I love the AC, it works better than any other car I've owned!

I have a DD without A/C. Mark my words, it's worth fixing. I just shaved my head like a balding middle age man because of said modifications. And yes, the car is still slow. I doubt it would even make a 14.

That shit is for late '60's/early '70's muscle cars. Melting your shoe to the transmission tunnel is expected, and a must.

Not so much in a neon.
