ok so noob question, do our cars have crank sensors? if so how much are they

Yes they have crank sensors, almost all modern cars do. Not sure on cost, but I'd bet they're probably around $30-50 aftermarket (napa/autozone) and probably closer to $100 from the dealer. I'll wait for someone else to chime in on that one.
