00 Neon Bogs on accell

well the car i just picked up has me stumped. it drives down the road great, but has been bogging on acceleration and it is starting to piss me off. i have no clue what it is. it's throwing codes for a misfire, a fuel catalyst,the secondary o2 sensor, and the power steering pressure sensor(but the PS works)

i know what to do to fix the misfire, and the secondary o2 sensor. but i dont know what the hell would cause the Fuel Catalyst code, or how to fix it. I was thinking a clogged catalytic converter but i am not too sure.

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

clogged cat due to bad o2 sensor would definitely make the car bog down.. Check all the spark plug wires at both ends to make sure they're on tight, as well as checking the connector on the coil pack.

i think the wires and plugs may be orig. and i am thinking of just cutting the cat out and doing the "trick the comp" DIY.

The down stream o2 means the cat is shot ie: there is no change between the up and down o2. Prolly melted out due to the misfire.

If it is misfiring, why would you expect it not to bog under acceleration? That is when the load on the coil is the greatest.

The PS switch will just raise idle when turning.

So i should Cut my cat out and sraight pipe it as well as replace the O2 sensor, and do the "trick the comp" DIY?

I know it needs a tune up. but i dont think it would bog that much.
