03 neon help

i put a used sohc motor in this car. When i got the motor the timen belt was broke so put a new one on it,and idles fine reved up gd,but has very little power under load and smell a strong oil smell threw the intake tube,when i roll the motor over steam comes out the rasd inlet for coolant.????do u guy think the valves are bent???? thanks... Greg

if when you got it the timing belt was broken then yeah the valves are most likely bent and not sealing correctly

thats the way i was leaning too, the car it was in was in a wreck,There is nothing real tricky yo change head is there?thanks.
