Dohc head q's

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Dohc head q's

Post by vielecustoms » Mon Oct 11, 2010 8:12 pm

I remember reading somewhere that the 2.0L and 2.4L DOHC heads were basically the same, I know of a 2.4L sebring which is heading to the scrap yard soon the engine is junk (spun a bearing) but the head is in good shape. would it be possible to swap the head onto my sohc engine? parts needed? would the PCM run it?

tried searching but for some reason I kept getting an error and a debug message.

There may be other ones, that I may have missed.

There are a handful of people who have swapped a whole 2.4 (DOHC) engine into their 2nd gen Neons, so it definitely can be done.
