This may be in the wrong spot, but im not really sure where to put it. I'm going to run a 2.0 dohc head on my 2000 turbo car this year and i was wanting the valve cover to say turbo on it. So my question is this, the srt valve covers have 2.4 on them so can i grind that off or is it just stamped onto the metal?

You can grind it off; It's raised lettering. In fact, I've seen it done multiple times.

Pretty sure An Srt VC won't work on 2.0 dohc head.

It'll work. The oil passages are a little different between the 2.4 and the 2.0 dohc heads, but it'll still fit.

Okay, I thought the bolt pattern was different.

I think the SRT one has an extra bolt or something.

Scratch whatever I said. I
believe you're correct. After looking at a couple pictures, there are two bolts that are different. One on the driver's side edge, between the cams, and one of the spark plug tube bolts.

That sounds right. I just recall them not being a direct fit exactly. I think people have had those holes filled.

It'll still bolt up along the edges just fine, and I wouldn't see it being too big of a problem, but there are two bolts that are different. I had to go look at some pictures first.
2.0 DOHC head:
SRT head:
Notice the bolt on the driver's side edge and the placement of the bolt in-between the two sparkplug tubes. My bad.
